How much tv in your house?

I know this is probably been asked a zillion times before, but...

how much is your tv on?

Normally, ours is on if we're in with a mix of kids videos for ds (11 months) or grown up stuff for me (which I put on so he doesn't sit engrossed!)

I want to limit it now, so he watches noddy in the morning (he loves noddy!) and then maybe one cartoon, or 20 min video in the afternoon, and that's it. DP usually has the tv on a lot once ds goes to bed.

(think I might have to move ds's bedtime, else I'll miss eastenders!)

no point getting upset about if others do things differently,

I introduced my three year old to dvds at xmas-bought him a few which was fine at first but then he wanted to watch Shrek over and over again so bought him some more-Ice age became his favourite,then Toy Story-it became an obsession with him and it became rather silly in the end because if he could have he would have watched the same ones over and over and over and over and over.........until he broke the tv one day and so the portable had to come out and the addiction broke-now he just watches cee beebies again all day!!
No serously, I am trying to stop him from watching so much-I put on "mummys music" which is a cue for playtime although it is sometimes a battle of wills to get him to turn it off.

DH is always marking school work or preparing lessons every evening so never watches it

DS plays with Lego or makes up puppet shows or makes up little plays or reads books

as well as watching TV of course. But he is not an addict like his kangamummy
