Did/Does anyone use cot bumpers for their young baby?

Thanks beatie. We've only just started using one, as he's only just started sleeping on his own - was co-sleeping up until a few weeks ago.

Aren't they supposed to be unsafe - somehow linked to cot deaths? (I might be wrong on that one)

When ds was a newborn he was in a co-sleeper bed and did not have them. At 6 months we moved him into a regular crib and received them as part of a set (gift from friend). I did put them on as they were cute and felt that ds was past any danger as he was already crawling by that time anyway. They can make changing sheets a little more bother, though.
