PC problems...where do i start

Ok, am not that good on pc's normally and am too tired to think but have just changed over to mcafee 2005 as the 2004 had run out. But the pc has a couple of problems which started before the change. It's running a lot slower than normal generally and the net is running really slow - some pages not loading or only half loading and all taking longer than usual.

So is there a problem with the pc, with my broadband, with mcafee or all 3?? Done a virus scan and didn't pick up anything apart from some adware.

And yes you did tell me, but you know what my memory is like so it bears repeating!!

Why don't you run panda active scan wobblyknicks - it is very good. I can get you a link if you like?

Thanks ss, am just using it now. Will try anything now and if its still bad will wipe and reinstall Sunday morning, gives me time to check how to do it and then I won't be knackered and will be dd-free for a couple of hours!

You really need adaware or spybot on your pc as well as macafee I think.

I actualy have both, i think adaware can be as bad as viruses!
