It is the school quiz night next week. It is fancy dress - decade from last 60 years (school is 60 this year).

We are part of a team and the decade chosen is the 80s apparently.

What do we where?
Where do I get it?

Please help!

Oh the 80s are great fun!

For you - a flouncy mini skirt, worn over leggings, with leg warmers and one lace glove, with mad hair and maybe a Choose Life T-shirt. As much flourescent stuff as you can get hold of. Or go all early Madonna with crucifixes and lace leggings.

Can he go as a skinhead (he will need a bald head for this obviously ha ha!). Green bomber jacket, drainpipe jeans cut short and turned up with a pair of DMs and an evil stare. Glue-sniffing bag not essential (and not entirely suitable at a school event!!).

What about Farah Fawcett, you need a flippy hairdo wig and a nice box jacket with the sleeves pushed up. This is equally Kim Wilde!

You could probably just come over and have root around in my wardrobe.

Shoulder pads, perms, heavy make-up.

My friend got a 'Frankie says Relax' Tshirt off ebay and teamed it with leggingsand a butterfly clip in her hair.
I've seen striking miners - placard/hard hat/fluorescent waistcoat
The fancy dress hire place down the road from me has 'Nolans' type catsuits with shoulder pads.
Miami Vice look for men - shades/ rolled up sleeves on jacket/stubble/ no socks/ deck shoes

Thanks all.

Need to sort this out this weekend/early next week as quiz night is Friday.

DH hates dress up; I am not much better. Need to keep it very low key for us really, lol.

How about Boy George? -should be quite easy to cobble together with ribbons, strips of fabric and a ton of make-up!
