Someone pointed out on a smoking thread that we were probubly due an ear piercing thread too, so I thought I'd do one.
I've heard that some places will pierce the ears of 4 month old babys. I also see a lot of babys around with it done.
I just wondered what the reasons are for getting them done so early ? This is just a curiosity thread, I've always wondered why people get it done so early but could never ask in RL.

DecayingDisaster- I suppose people must think it looks pretty. I wondered if that aws the only reason to justify causing pain to their babys.

Chavish? Chavish to one is the norm to the next. My pet hate are dummies.

Each to their own.

most babies actually look ugly imo, multiple piercings and a tattoo - thats the way to go for the ugly ones

mummyloveslucy · 27/10/2008 22:16

RubyRioja- this has to be a joke, right ?

I remember being on an ear-piercing thread before... just looked it up to remind myself of it

You started the thread then, Mummyloveslucy... a subject close to your heart

Grotesque, try sticking pieces of metal through other parts of a baby and try getting away with it.

RR no I was talking about the picture. I know the videos are real. It's horrific, I could hardly watch.
The Mums stayed so calm and were even laughing about it.
The piercer even said " Wow, now your a little girl !"

notnowbernard- Yes, I started that one just after I'd seen it being done to a baby whalst shopping for beads for my daughter. I was quite heated about it and feel I put people off saying why they do it.

Absolutely fecking disgusting. Makes me really why willingly inflict pain when completely unesseacry on your child. Sick sick sick.

They are people with children who are in pain and unwell and have to have invasive care which is painful and then you have people who pierce their babies ears for vanity. Sick and wrong imo and fuck politcal correctness.
