Which is cheaper incl delivery charge - Tesco or Sainsburys? [boring, sorry]

Tightening up here and want to earn some family days out by earning Tesco vouchers, but not sure there will be a real saving.

Mysupermarket.com seems to think Sainsburys are about £1-2 cheaper on most of our weekly shops, and deliver with Tesco is more expensive. I don't want to go to the faff of moving our shop over if it isn't cheaper.

Any idea anyone?

When you use mysupermarket.com do you set it up to shop at Sainsbury or Tesco? My theory is that whichever one you set it for will usually come out cheapest because it then just looks for similar products (that sounds confusing but hope you know what I mean) For example I have used it to shop assuming I'm going to use Ocado and that will come up cheaper because I select special offers which Ocado have but the others don't.

I usually shop at Tesco and overall I do think they are cheaper than Sainsbury and I much prefer their Clubcard offers - we usually use them for days or meals out.

If you shop directly on the Tesco website they now have an option to see cheaper alternatives for a lot of their products. OK, so some I wouldn't buy but I have bought some their budget brands recently and have found them to be good.

God, that was long, but I'm trying to cut my (massive) food shopping bills at the moment so I can bore for hours on the subject.

If you book a delivery slot at Sainsbury's for Tuesday Wed or Thurs, then order £40.00 or more, then you get delivery for £3.50.
I've been suing Sainsburys more and more. I've never sued Tesco since shortbreadgate

Have jsut realsied I've written "suing" instead of using. I'm not actually suing Tesco or Sainsbury's

Suing saltire? Did you get compo?

I tend to use Sainsbury's and have a mid week delivery, although Tesco money off codes seem more readily available.

Oh yes I should add I always check on the Tesco code thread for discount codes. I've used loads of £12 and £9 off codes. Don't think there are so many Sainsbury codes around.

I do know what you mean Chopchop and had the same theory, but now it is starting to come back with Sainsburys being cheaper whoever I choose.

Shortbreak gate???

Thank all.
