Anyone know of any 'Retreat' centres in Wales?

Am really craving peace & isolation - feeling at end of my tether & really want to escape. Even if only for 2 nights - has anyone been on a retreat? Did it do you good? Am so depressed at the moment - worse than I have ever been & feel that if I don't have a break that I am going to go insane (that is honestly how I feel). Trying to explain to DH how I feel but as good as he is I don't think he really gets how bad it is at the moment.

Hi Zippyb,

Do you mean a retreat from a religious point of view or somewhere you can retreat to for solitude and peace?

www.retreat-co.co.uk/plcstay. is a good website for the latter option and seems to be a good place to get one's head together. Best of luck and keep us posted,

Ghengis

Thanks ghengis - will look up that site. I am starting to frighten myself at the moment - even one of my oldest friends who came for a visit with her DS & DD has not known what to make of me & has cried off coming to see me today! Whether it is a retreat or just a couple of nights away by the sea I am going to go somewhere next week - luckily I have a week off work (couldn't have come at a better time) Sorry rambling again.

Just to let you know that I have booked a few days in Tenby -not quite a retreat but close enough for me - taking DS & DH with me but think DH understands that I do REALLY need a break and will try & give me time on my own - can't tell you how good it was leaving work today knowing that I have 1 whole week off.
