I don't blame him. Autograph hunters are loons and he must get absolutely loads of requests.

My dh is an actor and every time he's on TV he gets a batch of letters asking for his autograph. Many of them don't even care who he is or bother to write anything personal about liking his work, they just send out an SAE and trott out an impersonal, circular style letter that they probably write to absolutely all the actors who've ever appeared in anything. They're loons and this obsession of theirs shouldn't be indulged. What good is someone's name scrawled on something? Ridiculous.

So I can only imagine the scale of the problem for Ringo Starr. I think it's good he's being honest. He could have just binned everything but not bothered to tell people. At least he's saving them the time and effort.
