Did anypne see the news at 10, BBC1 tonight? 3 million AIDS orphans in SA by the end of the decade. It's an almost unbelievable statistic and it has really upset me (my dads' SOuth AFrican so perhaps I feel an allegiance). Does anyone know anything about adopting from overseas? It is something I think about but know absolutely nothing.

Giraffe, I'm so sorry for what happened to you. It must have been really difficult - more than I can imagine.

I am certain that I want to do this and I will. My youngest is not quite 2 yet, so it's a bit soon. And as the 3 of us (me and the kids)are still in a 2 bed house, I want to move before I start the process.

I got an info pack from the BAAF today, with a copy of Be My Parent, and fell in love with several children right away! I feel I am able to offer a secure and loving home, and I know I could love these children.

Just another site here for overseas adoptions (can't do the linky things - actually haven't looked into it or tryed - but hey!) its www.neobirth.org.za - South African Agency Place.
Your story is totally inspirational Giraffe. All the best for you and your family in the next phase of your lives. xx
