Recommend Builders in the Northwood / Radlett / Watford Area

Can anyone recommend some good builders in the Northwood (Middlesex), Radlett (Herts) or Watford (Herts ) area. We need some extension quotes and are thinking of buying a property in Northwood. It shouldn't be too far too travel from Radlett or Watford.

Visit www.netmums.com/hillingdon for builders in Northwood and check out the household help section where there are builders recommended by other local parents. I'm getting my loft converted at the moment and have contacted a couple of the builders for quotes already so can give you my views if you want to contact me via the site.

There is also a www.netmums.com/southherts site but I'm not sure whether they have any builders listed, if you don't get any joy on netmums with your question you could also post it on the noticeboard there.

don't know anyone in that precise area but there are some excellent builders in Barnet who dod some work for us and who are used to travelling; A.V Property services 0208 441 3149. Hope this may be of some use, Alan Vear is a really nice guy too.

Tillysmummy - have you tried the website improveline.com? I looked at the site yesterday and they're really good. They take a few details and you put in your postcode then they recommend local builders who have been used by previous clients. The site has its own vetting procedure. You can then either browse from their directory or you can ask to be matched to a builder for your particular project. I'd definitely recommend you have a look.
