Nothing to do with children, but is anyone else going to watch the new series? We realised after watching every episode last time that we'd been watching every Sunday for 6 months, which is not like me.

Sibble, I don't want youto give anythign away but the bomb has just exploded here so I'm thinking that the remaining hours amy be a bit flat, tell me I'm wrong?
please?

runragged · 14/06/2003 17:30

Is it going to go on 24 times? I've been thinking it might finish soon as it started at 8am. I need to know as I can't bear the suspense thinking ever episode may be the last. Stomach churning just writing this - so exiting!

runragged · 14/06/2003 17:31

Don't send me any sarcastic comments ref name being 24 so duhh!! 24 episodes, just thought new series might be diferent!!

Frenchgirl · 14/06/2003 17:32

runragged, it will finish at 8am the following day so as to make a full 24 hours (thank god for that, I need my fix of 24!!) I loooooove it!!!

sibble · 15/06/2003 03:57

There are a few hours towards the end which seem a bit long drawn out, probably so it lasts a whole 24 hours but is still compelling viewing never the less. It could just be that I hate suspense and am the sort of person that reads the last page of a book if it's getting really exciting because I can't bear to wait to see what is going to happen. Look forward to joining in the chat when it is finished to see what everybody thinks. Once you're hooked, you're hooked to the end.

so?? what did everyone think of last nights episode? Who is this bloke and why does he want Kate? Is there a mole at CTU again adn is that how they knew when Sayeed Ali was beign transferred. If there is at the moment my money is on Tony, but tht is liable to change from hour to hour.

And how the hell does Kim attract trouble so much??

runragged · 16/06/2003 22:16

Haven't seen last nights yet lilibet but CAN NOT believe it could be Tony, could be his almost girlfriend though.

It may be just about worth getting freeview for ourselves for Christmas, I can't bear the suspense and there are some great dramams on at the mo. Would only watch BBC3 though and would have to resist plugging kids into cbeebies!

WideWebWitch · 16/06/2003 23:52

Kim is still a silly tart (why go into the liquor store when it was closed Kim? Why?), Tony is very attractive I think so he can't be the mole! I think the 2 women in CTU (Tony's almost girlfriend and the other one who's just arrived from division) used to go out together or some such thing - there's tension there. The bloke who called Jack and wants Kate is the commando who shot all the other commandos tracking the bomb. We know this because they showed his snake tattoo. But I can't think why he'd want Kate unless it's something to do with her father and the CIA?

But, why wasn't he passing the info on to the President about Sayeed Ali? Michelle was trying to get it sorted and Carrie alerted him as Jack left the building with Kate. This points to Tony and as he is the least likely to me that makes him the most likely!! And has the fact that sayeed Ali was in Germany got anythign to do with Nasty Nina?
Kim could give blondes a very bad name! She is an absolute liability and at lest last time the Terri/Kim story was linked to the main bit, this time it does just sem to be padding.

Oh hooray, a thread on 24 how did I miss this one? Lucky old me has been watching the extra episodes on BBC3, so could answer some of your questions, but don't want to spoil it for you all. Have to tell you though, Jim from Neighbours (remember him?) turns up as the Vice President in next week's episode - most surprising thing so far IMO. What next, Mrs Mangle as a hired assassin?

runragged · 17/06/2003 19:07

I STILL haven't seen it. Caught up on Spooks and State of Play today, will definately watch tomorrow. The joys of working in the evening!

How can Jim be Vice President? I thought the baldy one - Mike - was. Oh and what did happen to Nina? I must have missed that one.

lilibet · 17/06/2003 19:50

The baldy one is the cheif of staff. Do you watch West Wing?

runragged · 17/06/2003 20:20

Alas I have to limit what I watch coz I'm never there, just realised missed corrie last night and was determined to see Joe get his commupence. If I kept up with all the good telly , dd and ds would never get to watch the Jungle Book again! Actually the reason I find it difficult to keep up is because I have to vet what I watch while they are awake coz its ussually unsuitable.
