I never used the word crozzy

Crozzy might be more local to me, maybe.

Thinking about it, DH (Manchester) use to say croggy and I (Hull) would say crozzy when he gave me a lift on his bike .

I preferred a croggy cause you could wrap your hands around their waist.....
