sadly it is below what I want, but perhaps it is a sign of good things starting to happen on the housing market

Is it a first offer - are they likely to come back with more?

DillyDally · 24/02/2005 15:25

I hope so, it was 12% below the asking price and the estate agent told me to reject.

what will you accept? anything under, or are you holding out for asking price?

DillyDally · 24/02/2005 15:46

Willing to accept less than asking price but have dropped price before christmas (to a reasonable level i.e. 35k below what first estate agent wanted to market it at) and the offer the person put was below what the flat underneath me sold for - minus a car parking space a year ago.
Does that seem reasonable?
terrible wording in this post sorry.

don't tell GDG she'll be !

DillyDally · 24/02/2005 15:49

My lips are sealed...it has been on the market since august though if it makes anyone feel any better.

her house has been on since July - no offers yet

DillyDally · 24/02/2005 15:51

has she checked out the website that tells you how much your neighbours bought their houses for? i think it was nethouseprices.co.uk but can check, it is grim reading.

she sure has and so have I - its a great site!

DillyDally · 24/02/2005 15:53

well the offer I received was below everything on that list and I promise you I don't live in that much squalor. (the flats are identical)
