It isn't dangerous or anything (as far as i know)

But I have been trying to use one on my children for a few years now.

It looks effective, and also rather satisfying and even (dare I say it) fun.

BUT last year I tried it in my own nose. The feeling was just AWFUL. I never anticipated it would feel so horrible. It is like having a hoover up your nose. it is not just uncomfortable, it actually is quite frightening.

Next time you have a cold, try it yourself - I can almost guarantee that you will never again subject your child to the thing.

Y'see I've always wondered why the dds run a mile at the mere sight of the damn thing. Now I know .

Seriously, I have never used the thing successfully on either dd more than twice and yet it seems SUCH a good invention.

Yes I would run a mile now. It is such a shame as it does look like such an effective thing.

If you want to try tissues the way to do it is this:

Say 'take a deep breath'

'Keep your mouth shut'

'and BLOW!!'
