Ok have found ourselevs with 1 cancelled ball and 1 whole night without kids and our best friends too - what shall we do instead ?

This has never happened in 20 years of marriage, but the ball ahs been cancelled and we now have a night with no kids (all at sleepover) and our life long best friends who were coming with us are in same position.
With limited budget what could we do , all of us , because for us this is a once in 20 years opportunity not to be missed !
Any ideas mumsnetters please x

Spend the night in Paris?

Go out for dinner, drink wine, eat in peace, talk lots. Perfect!

Paris-lovely idea but too expensive .
Food wine and good natter in peace sounds lovely but we`ve done that at cottage weekends.
We have a rule and thats entertain kids all weekend but 7pm onwards is grown up time !
Wanted to try something a bit differrent ?

Why don't you go on a date (with each other)? Pretend you have never met, meet each other for the first time.

You can fly to Paris for cheap, get a room in the holiday inn for £50.
