Moving to Geneva - looking for equivalent to NCT and other young mums networking groups...

Hi all

My DH is being transfered to Geneva.
I am currently on maternity leave with a 3 month old little boy, and will gladly tag along - and therefore leave my job.

Being a a stay at home mum in a foreign country (I do speak french though so no difficulty there), meeting people wont be very easy, so I'd like to join coffee groups, playgroups, NCT equivalents etc... . Does anybody have any ideas?

We are moving there at the end of this month too, although date still TBC.
Regarding accomodation, we need to find ourselves a place, but luckily DH's job is putting us up in a service flat for first two months.
Do you know where you're going to live?

We have just found a house in Hermance, further up the lake (right bank). We wanted to find something on the right bank as that is where DH's company is and he was told that crossing the Mont Blanc bridge is a nightmare.

You will probably have heard that the housing market in Geneva is very tense. We were incredibly lucky that we got a lot of help from DH's work with the house search. Otherwise we would be in temp housing too.
