Ok this really is a long shot, but have googled to no avail and really want to find this shop...
Was in a soft play centre in Westhoughton, Bolton/Wigan, Greater Manchester and a lovely lady told me about a toy shop in the local area that specialises in Thomas the Tank Engine Wooden Sets...at very reasonable prices...I think the shop was is Ashton in Makerfield but I could be so wrong...
Is anyone out there the lovely lady, or know of this shop?!
Please help!

My ds1 was mad on Thomas for a while and we bought quite a bit, but I don't recall seeing any wooden ones.
Our Thomas trains for the train set are diecast metal.
Our wooden stuff is just Brio/Ikea and the Thomas trains don't fit on it.
I'm from Bolton and have never heard of such a shop.

Oh, I think I saw some on this online shop last night: www.mywoodentoy.com

I will be well chuffed if this is what you were meaning BTW. I can tell myself I was not idly wasting time, but instead helping someone in dire need (of wooden Thomas)!

The Thomas Wooden stuff is made by Learning Curve and you can get it from loads of places including ELC but it is quite pricey compared to the Erts/Tomy stuff.

We have rather a lot of it!.

TooTicky · 03/09/2008 23:11

The wooden Thomas trains used to be made by Brio. It is worth getting these secondhand instead of Learning Curve as they are better quality.

Thanks all...have already started collection of learning Curve Thomas...we just now seem to be adding to it at an alarming rate! Hence my search for this elusive store with cheap wooden thomas...is there such a thing?!
PotPourri, thanks! Am off to check out the site right now! Heres hoping...
