Do you ever do household chores in the dark?

Apologies for sounding like a loon, but sometimes I wash up/wipe up in the dark to avoid seeing the enormity of the task. I find it way more relaxing, although the downside is I don't get to see the outcome.

You're stark raving bonkers, in a loveable-non-threatening kind of way!

Doodle2U · 14/08/2008 22:40

I think you are as mad as a box of frogs.

You'd get on well with my DH, who is always reaching into the room and turning the light off on me as I quietly put away laundry.

WideWebWitch · 14/08/2008 22:41

no of course I don't but you must be a troll

Hassled · 14/08/2008 22:41

How can you tell if the dishes are even clean?

ThatBigGermanPrison · 14/08/2008 22:42

Switch th light on when you're finished then!

I can see your point, but I don't do it.

I have been known to hide half the wahing up in the oven so it doesn't look so forbidding (ie on Chistmas Night!)

claricebeansmum · 14/08/2008 22:43

But how can you see what you are doing - which bits to wipe IYSWIM?

cadelaide · 14/08/2008 22:43

TBGP, did you used to be called ThatGreatBigGermanPerson, or have I always misread your name?

cadelaide · 14/08/2008 22:48

Oh, of course, you're you.

And of course you've never been a great big german person.

Ah, the labyrinth that is MN.

cadelaide · 14/08/2008 22:49

Sorry for hijack, btw

I enjoy sewing in the dark, but have to unpick it all again in the morning.
