How do I estimate the average number of weekdays in a month?

Do I just remove the weekends and calculate the average (i.e. 365-104 = 261, then /12 = 21.5 (approx).

You'd never believe I was once the the top maths group at my school...

I thought it was around 22 days.

For payroll calcs, you often assume 260 working days a year = 365 x 5/7.

That makes around 22 on average each month.
