toast, corflakes
Banana and orange
Chilli con carnie and rice
Orange jelly
Cheap nasty american style hot dogs
and yogurt

at nursery yesterday and they wondered why she was sick. What a load of cr@p food. I think the chilli only consisted of garlic from the smell of her. I think I'd be sick too if I had all of that swishing round in my tummy!!!

Agree with Gwenick re portion sizes. Would like to think that there was a veg serving in the chilli but TBH rather doubt it as you obviously do.

Today they're having tuna pasta bake for lunch and toasted crumpets for tea.

There is a sickness bug doing the rounds at the moment, where they are only sick once, then perfectly fine afterwards. My dd is off school today because of it.

Blimey, woodpops if yours PREFER fruit to chocolate why are the nursery feeding them such crap? Toast, cornflakes, rice & yoghurt (unless it's one that's mainly sugar, a lot of them are) is all ok imo but unless the chilli was a lovely home made one (was it?) then I wouldn't be happy with that, nor the hot dogs (doubt there's anything good in them), nor the jelly which is just sugar, water, flavourings and gelatine. Why give them that, at a children's party maybe, but in general? They're a nursery ffs. Have they got a food policy, ask to see it. If it was me I'd want it changed.

My Nusery gives 'junk' meals sometimes. Chicken nuggets and smiley faceys yesterday .

I'd rather they gave healthy stuff consistently so that I could use the junk alternatives as a fall back when I am feeling lazy, but safe in the knowledge that their nutritional needs had been met by Nursery!
