Soft Play - How Often Do you Go?

Hello

I am currently looking into starting my own soft play business and was hoping you could all answer a couple of questions for me!

How often do you go to a soft play centre?

How much do they charge for entry?

How much extra do you spend per visit on food, drinks etc?

Thanks in advance!

Once a week, except in summer when we go to local parks etc... usually pay about £5 entance for two children (one 4 and one 1). Usually £3/4 for drinks and snacks. Never buy meals there - foul!

I always think you could make a mint from this in the right place. Go for it.

As rarely as posible. Parties mainly, or if I'm ill or something. Find them fairly soul destroying - lots of miserable parents not wanting to be interacting with their kids at all. What's wrong with a walk in the woods!!

I used to take DS but the novelty soon wore off for both of us. These are the things I hate about them:

Loud, blaring music
Other peoples children
Crap food, drinks
Garden furniture and the odd, token pretend leather sofa
Scary, miserable staff

I think the local one is £3.50 a shot but my gym has a free soft play area. I do use the free gym one as it is usually empty.

I think the thing I hate most about our local one is that it appears to have been set up to fleece local parents for as much as possible with only scant attention paid to ensuring the children have an enjoyable time.

When I am forced to visit these places, I guess I spend as little as possible on extras. My NCT group did go through a phase of meeting at our soft play place but only during the depths of winter.

A few times a month to ours its £2.75 entry
we take sandwiches usally and I let ds get a drink and a chocalate bar after from the vending machines.
