How do you incorporate pink into a boy's bedroom?

Ok, I have always believed myself to be liberal and not pandering to sterotypes or beliefs.

HOWEVER, DS (3.5) wants pink on his new bedroom walls. I have conceeded and bought a pink tester pot (as well as blue, yellow and green) but am at a loss as to how to co-ordinate the pink so that 1. I feel comfortable and 2. He is satisfied with the outcome.

He would want it ALL pink, DH says do a wall in pink, I just want a 'little' pink if I have to.

Pink is Ds's favourite colour at the mo, but I do not want to have to paint the whole room or wall again in a year's time if he starts complaning about it being girly. Equally, I don't want any of his future friends taking the mickey out of his pink room.

God, what is wrong with me??? Should do what DS wants, shouldn't I?

Anyway, any advice would be great. Going off to a 2 hour meeting now, so will not reply to any suggestions until later, but PLEASE suggest!

But he REALLY likes that awful barbie pink (which I LOATHE-my fave colour is blue)

Must...fight...convention....Sorry, no good!

Will have to be the minimal pink intervention

That's the beauty of having girls. You can forbid them Barbie on Ideological Grounds.

My DS also went through the 'PINK' phase, after a year or so he hated it!
