Have a look at the Liverpool based artists the Singh Twins. They have their own website. Their work is inspired by and painted in the style of Indian miniature paintings and one series is about celebrity. They have painted Posh and Becks,the Osbournes and Madonna.

I think the Posh and Becks one caused a bit of a stir as they are depicted as Indian Gods.
