biglips · 05/02/2005 21:27

biglips · 05/02/2005 21:28

i still fancy the pants of DP and i love him to bits but there is no 'get up and get on with it!' motivation

Can't be arsed either and my baby is nearly 7 months, haven't been bothered since I had DS 3 years ago

I have no family round or any help with the kids and DH is self employed and works long hours and I jsut want to be left alone in a darkened room by the time they are in bed.

3 times is good if you ask me!

crazy · 05/02/2005 21:30

been 14 mths for me, finding I'm in the mood for it, about once a month......don't worry biglips, they soon give up asking!!!!!

me and my dh didnt do it until 5 months after, so your doing well biglips!

lilsmum · 05/02/2005 21:32

yep i can never be arsed...by the time i have got some peace and dd(12mth) is asleep i am really not in the mood!!! and to think i was that bad before dd that dp would turn me down (too tired etc!!) we have been decussing no 2 and i am sure the main reason he wants to go for it because its guaranteed sex lol

biglips · 05/02/2005 21:33

..... i cant get turned on and most of the time DP be moaning (in a nice way) and say to me ill see you in bed later .... 1 in the morning i come up as baba just fallen asleep and DP is snoring - cant win!!!!

just like to correct my message...14 months and still can't be a**ed, not 14 mths and not done it!

charleypops · 05/02/2005 21:35

I think the less you do it, the more you get out of the habit, and the less you want to do it. In my experience, doing nothing whilst waiting passively to suddenly feel like it just won't work.

To me though, (not that I've had one yet), 4 months after having a new baby doesn't seem that long - I think 3 times is good going too!

biglips · 05/02/2005 21:36

crazey - i was just gonna say --- 14 months !!! i be desperate

OP posts:
crazy · 05/02/2005 21:36

me and dh are just not in sync, trying to find a time when your both up for it is so hard

NameChangingMancMidlander · 05/02/2005 21:37

it took us ages to get back into the swing of things. dh was always up for it buut my hormones went completely haywire for a good 2 years post dd. things have picked up in the last few months, i seem to have rediscovered my libido which has led to all round !

still not back to how things were, but i doubt things will ever be as 'experimental' as they were due to the fact that we just don't have the time these days.

try not to panic about it, the more pressure you pile on, the less inclined you'll be to get down and dirty

biglips · 05/02/2005 21:37

crazy !! - i had to double read that again then, as i thought it said summat else !

OP posts:
crazy · 05/02/2005 21:40

can't imagine what!! you'll have to bear with me tired and a little hungover!

biglips · 05/02/2005 21:54

i thought it said "trying to find a time when your both up so hard" as i just quick read it and then i read it again and i thought oh right!

I don't think an attitude like 'get up and get on with it!' is helping!

I was the same though - one thing you can be certain of - you're not alone

Joolstoo · 05/02/2005 22:41

I'm truly amazed at this comment!

"my problem is that I am terrified of getting pregnant by accident without noticing it"
