thanks - just wondering as the seats in the back are individual and they kind or curve upwards at the edges - one booster I tried was too wide.

ok

well it is narrowwer than the maxi cosi rodi (the other seat i sometimes use)

as high backed boosters go its relatively narrow! (and also very safe!)

(but yes obviously only safe if it fits!)

I used to have a Britax cruiser and it fitted well. You need to be really careful with the renault scenic as the seat shape means that a lot of car seats don't fit properly - I've had the same problems with booster seats and I can't put the ones I eventually bought in the middle seat, only the side ones.
