dreamymum · 08/07/2008 14:43

Kraft dinner is great! there is also a children's clothing store called 'children's place' with great clothes that are great quality and are fairly cheap

MaryAnnSingleton · 08/07/2008 14:43

"instant macaroni and cheese (Kraft Dinner, kids love it...) " dear gid NOOOO! It's hideous (no offence intended of course )

hockeypuck · 08/07/2008 14:44

Oh Canada - I love Canada (sob)

Souble Stuff Oreos
Double Stuff Cheerios
Peanut Butter M&Ms (note the theme here!)
Lots of ice hockey memorabilia
ice hockey kit
ice hockey players (if you have enough cash - another theme developing here)
Little stickers with red maple leaves on them
The list goes on.

Why do you ask?

hockeypuck · 08/07/2008 14:46

Not doublestuff cheerios obviously (that would be gross - I just got carried away with the Ohs. I meant to say, double stuff Fudgios, which are like oreos but only with a chocolatey fudgey filling - oh dear lord of everything that is righteous and tasty)

cheeryface · 08/07/2008 14:47

my brother has gone to live there. He went on Saturday (sob)

brimfull · 08/07/2008 14:48

MAC cosmetics is Canadian- that may be cheaper.

flowerybeanbag · 08/07/2008 14:49

I could so live in Canada. If it weren't for the fact that both my and DH's jobs are based around English law and therefore non-relocatable we'd quite possibly be there.

brimfull · 08/07/2008 14:49

Tim Horton's coffee and timbits mmmmmmmm

AlbertaWildRose · 08/07/2008 14:50

Perogies! I miss them so much, tastiest comfort food ever.

cheeryface · 08/07/2008 14:50

he sent me a message this morning describing his surroundings...sounded bloody great

OP posts:
shubiedoo · 08/07/2008 14:50

Apparently Tim's coffee is now available in Spar stores in Dublin, Ireland. Not quite so far to go!
Yes, KD is an acquired taste, I lived on it in college and still have nostalgic fondness...

SheherazadetheGoat · 08/07/2008 14:51

if canada is so full of sweeties why do they all have such good teeth?

cheeryface · 08/07/2008 14:51

and the people sound really welcoming

OP posts:
SheherazadetheGoat · 08/07/2008 14:51

i bet loads of camping/outdoor stuff is loads cheaper

AlbertaWildRose · 08/07/2008 14:53

Canadians have good teeth because the dental care is fantastic, there's fluoride in the water, and people don't eat just sweets!

SheherazadetheGoat · 08/07/2008 14:53

sweets are just to throw over the border at lumbering americans?

AlbertaWildRose · 08/07/2008 14:54

Yes, exactly! No, of course we eat them, but we hopefully eat other things as well.

hockeypuck · 08/07/2008 14:59

I want to move to Canada it's just not fair!

Timmy Ho's coffee and donuts (not timbits though unfortunately) are also available in some Spars in Wales. It's fabulous!! Just not as good as being there though.

I'm trying to convince my professors and my husband that I need to factor in a trip to Canada to do a decent job of my MSc dissertation. Unfortunately, they're not convinced that I can't just do it all online (sob)
