it is, very good schools as well. I live close to there and went to the local schools and 6th form and i'm now at oxford uni so they must have done something right

I'm in Staffordshire, our 3 bed detached is valued at around £150k it would be £130-140 if we hadn't had a conservatory built,

you can buy a three bed here for about £179,000 lovely area, 20 mins train ride into London. Lots of schools, shops and supermarkets

Essbee, you could get a 3 bed in some parts of Bristol for £150k. Not great parts but bearable.

Yes. I live in the north east, its super super cheap here.

The Teesside reigion is very cheap, and a nice area.

Where I go to uni which is in the north as well is cheap, but I wouldn't live here.

Could get a good three bed in Swindon (Wiltshire) for 150ish.If you wanted to go to 200 you'd be able to get a 4 bed exec in the best parts of the town.Very posh!!

sleaford is in Lincolnshire, north of Peterborough, Sth of Lincoln, 1/2 hr from Newark, Nottingham, 15 mins from grantham (1hr 50 mins to London Kings X by train)
Really like it here and I moved from Hants/Surrey border...

essbee, if you want to stay in London (just) then £200K or under could buy you a three bed house in Woolwich or Plumstead. Or go slightly further SE into Bexleyheath. HTH
