Any ideas for a little girls hair for a wedding ???

My 3 year old daughter is going to a wedding next week. She has a pale pink floaty dress to wear. I was just wondering what to put in her hair?. She has long auburn hair that falls in big ringlets. I am growing out her frindge and usually have it parted in the middle and have the front of it back in two little bunches with ribbon to match what she's wearing. I just wondered if anyone had any ideas for somthing a bit different? I thought about replacing the ribbons with some nice flower clips ect, does anyone know where sells nice ones? I'd want pale pink to match her dress.

my dd1 has ringlet hair and am growing part of her fringe out to!!

Had a party few weeks ago where I divided front part of hair into 4 sections and then twisted each section from front of hairline for about 2-3invhes then put some of those pretty grips in (the long thin metal grips they had dimante butteflies on the ends)then had curls down the back

Will see if I can find a pic

Aww, that sounds gorgeous. I could give it a practice run first as I've never tried that style. Would love to see a pic.

monsoon kids do some too

I put my dd's back ion a french plait with bits pulled free, but then she has hair that needs taming or she looks beautfully urchin chic. and she flowers in her hair.

You could always ask a florist for hair flower pins, they're not expensive and lovely though not hard wearing.

put some pics on profile (2nd and 3rd ones) but you cant see the twisted bits properly

mummyloveslucy · 04/07/2008 19:49

Oh yes, monsoon are gorgeous arn't they?
The hair flower pins sound lovely. They wouldn't need to be hard wearing as it's only for a few hours. They would look gougeous with her dress, just like a fairy.

wonderwomanakaeandh- Oh my god! your daughters are gorgeous, they look soo sweet. I loved the hair, you dress them beautifully too. It's lovely to see sisters in matching dresses.

lol I hate them matching but my Mum and Nan love it and they bought those dresses (and both them pics taken in my Mums garden)

wonderwomanakaeandh · 04/07/2008 19:57

ooops sorry forgot to say thanks for the compliment

mummyloveslucy · 04/07/2008 20:07

Oh lol, Well I think it looks very sweet. I love the purple and white dresses.
I'll never forgive my mum for dressing me and my brother in matching his and hers sailor suits for a boat trip. My brother was only 3 but I was nearly 7. I still haven't forgiven her.
My mum was horrified to hear that Lucy has a pair of jeens. They are pretty with flowers on and they are soft with an alasticated waist. She thinks that at 3.5 she is far too young for jeens and needs to be in smocked dresses and nothing else.

My mum has an obsession with smocked dresses (those purple/white ones atr from tk maxx and were £7!!) and when dd1 was 1.5-2 marks and spencers did loads of them (poor kid had every one) and now dd2 coming up to that age so will have to wash and iron them and force let her wear them.

Shes not to bad about jeans (as long as they are for playing in) she looks after them one day a week when I work and I tend to put them in dress or skirt and top as it keeps her happy (MIL has them the other day I work and prefers them in jeans/trackie bottoms as they go and feed the horses and chickens etc so get grubby there)

Wow! I'll be taking a little trip to TK max I think. That is such a bargin.
My mother in law is the same. She'd prefere jeens, etc so that she can have load of messy fun with Lucy without worrying.
