Night time nappy changes

Hey all!
I know this may sound like an odd one but how many times are we changing our babys nappy throughout the night? I change my LO each time she wakes up for a feed (twice a night) and a friend of mine said she doesnt change hers unless her LO has pooed. I just dont like the thought of my LO laying in a wet nappy for 8-10 hours a night, because if it was during the day i would not leave her that long between changes. Am I being odd or is what im doing normal? Also not saying friend is wrong, it just never occurred to me not to change my LO through the night.

Each time baby wakes for a feed

How old is the baby? I changed every wake as a newborn so they'd be awake enough to feed and also because they'd usually pood everytime too.

I don't change them in the night now because he never poos at night anymore.

Neither of you are wrong.

I don't because I feel like it wakes them up too much and they take longer to go back to sleep. I wouldn't change them, if they were sleeping through so I don't think there's anything wrong with leaving them personally.

Ooooh at 5 months it would depend. Atleast once. But if baby doesnt wake up for a feed, i wouldnt wake them? As long as baby is putting on weight with no medical problems and drinking well during the day

I rarely changed a nappy at night if I could help it as it stimulated them too much.

I only changed the night nappy if they had pooed or it had leaked.
