Have tried putting various things on it and scrubbing it but cant get rid off it, even put it in the machine. It is only on the bottom of the mat. Yes i know prevention is better than cure but tell dh!

Soak in bleach or dissolve a milton tab in a shallow bath or blitz it with mould/mildew spray if you haven't already

bleach and elbow grease

I put mine on a 60 wash (apologies to the environment) yesterday, with black spots, and that seemed to sort it. It was with bio powder, no airy fairy at the hoodlum house.

mad4mybaby · 27/06/2008 18:23

hmm may sound odd but i dont have any bleach in my house. Allergic to it. What else can i use? Have non bio not bio powder could that make a diff?

I'm afraid I would buy a new one

well scrub off what you can, then just carry on using it until you are ready to buy a new one.

If it won't scrub off, it's not going to come off in the bath and hurt you.

BTW if you bleach a rubber mat, it'll start to crumble away.

biuy a new one
