Caught my eye with a facial razor, should I get it checked?

Was using a face razor thing to get rid of excess facial hair and I happened to catch my eye with it . I have a red spot on my eye because of it. Should I be worried. Do I need to go to Minor Injuries unit or Pharmacy. Photos to follow maybe be triggering or whatever.

I would go to an optician or a pharmacy - the optician could look at your eye properly but presumably couldn't prescribe any ointment or antibiotic drops. If you have a Moorfields (eye hospital) unit at your local hospital then maybe call them for advice.

I hope you manage to get it sorted out. I would take a photo of the razor thing - you don't have to describe it / take it with you then.

You should speak to someone. My toddler scratched my eye badly with his nail accidentally and I spoke to Moorfields who told me to use an antibiotic eye drop and also a lubricating one. It wasn’t a visible scratch even, but that’s what they said I needed. You can get those items over the counter and without a prescription but worth speaking to someone to make sure thats the right course of treatment for you.

My DD had a small scratch on her eye and got an emergency optician appointment. They prescribed antibiotics and eye drops and checked her again after a week.

If you're in Scotland (judging by your username), high street opticians will be able to give you a minor eye conditions appointment.
