Really sympathise ... but dont know - sorry!

starlover · 27/01/2005 17:43

leave it to go cold, it might peel off

KatieMac · 27/01/2005 17:49

Kitchen towel - while it's still warm ...try not to scrape.

As a last resort oven cleaner (very last resort)

mrsflowerpot · 27/01/2005 18:04

vinegar on kitchen towel onto hottish iron has worked for me.

biglips · 27/01/2005 20:04

biglips · 28/01/2005 08:56

That's good. I dropped an iron once and left an iron-shaped mark right in the bedroom doorway. Dh didn't notice it for almost 7 years!

pixiefish · 28/01/2005 22:39

My dh did this the other week- right inthe middle of the dining room. and it's a short pile so is really noticeable... contemplating the house insurance at the moment
