Hi, my best friend is being induced today and they have told her she's having a boy.
Does anyone have any ideas for what I should buy him?
She's probubly got loads of baby clothes etc. What would make a great gift?
Please let me know.

What about a really nice soft small teddy which he can keep, if you're really nice buy two in case he gets really attached and loses one.

Also get something nice for your friend such as some lavendar oil to go in her bath etc.

A lovely soft blanket for the baby.

an organic cotton blanket from green baby was my absolute favourite baby item.

Agree, blankets are fab presents. As you never know which cuddly toy children are going to latch on to, I think they're a bit of a risk. Many get discarded and never looked at again. But blankets will be used and may become loved by the child too.

If you want something practical, the best thing we had for our first child was a grobag.

Can you sew? I'm a complete novice with a sewing machine and just made a really lovely baby blanket using this online tutorial It's lovely to get a gift someone has made.

No I can't sew and deffinatly don't have the time or patience to make a blanket. The baby will probubly be hear any minute.
You are right though, what a fabulus present that would make. My mum knitted one for Lucy and it's still on her bed today.

Yes, definitely blanket - even if they get given more than one then they are still useful. Also the Daisy roots leather shoes are lovely and there are some super cute boys ones (purple-heart.com have some nice ones)
