irrelevant question about lions but wonder if you know

Last thing at night I always get the stupidest things going through my head. Last night I was wondering.

Out in the wild, if my boy cat, Yang (who is gorgeous with fluffy long hair) came across a lion would the lion eat Yang or recognise some sort of reletive in him?

And further to that do you think a lion could be bothered to eat a mouse or do you think a mouse is just too small to make them even notice them. Lions eat zebras dont they. Not mice surely??? Or is it like me eating one olive?

If the lion was hungry enough then yes.

Didn't an ape once eat a monkey?

StealthPolarBear · 14/06/2008 10:19

lol at this thread

eenybeeny · 14/06/2008 10:19

wow has an ape has eaten a monkey? where did you hear that? I thought they were veggies?

DH is telling me now some apes eat meat.

yama so you think the lion would eat the mouse as well as a fluffy white cat? What would a lion not eat?

Lions eat their own species if they are taking over a pride, so I'm sure they would have no concerns with eating a cat.

probably wouldn't bother with a mouse, unless they feel like a snack, must be the equivilant of a peanut to us

are you sure you haven't been talking to my dd 6?

we have these musings fairly often.

eenybeeny · 14/06/2008 10:22

I have these musings every stinking night. no joke. the questions I think of are so bizarre. this is the most tame. they usually go something like this:

"DH if you had to choose between never eating eggs again or never listening to Morrissey again which would you lose?"

and then there are loads I couldnt repeat often along the lines of:

"DH would you eat a large poo every day for the rest of your life instead of an evening meal if it was good for DS's health?"

oh god I have really embarrassed myself now.

Am going to skulk away now.

It was my dp who told me eeny. He is saying that it was a BBC documentary - 'Apes Gone Bad' or something like that.

You could probably find a clip on YouTube. Not sure I want to look.

And yes, a mouse would probably get it too (if said lion was hungry enough).

eenybeeny · 14/06/2008 10:29

yeah I dont think I want to look either!! high gross out factor. (says the woman with the poo question )

And 'Would you rather ......?' games are funny.

RustyBear · 14/06/2008 10:31

No, the mouse would just take a thorn out of the lion's paw & it would let it go.....

Salamander · 14/06/2008 11:08

i do get these questions every night........
