Best baby carrier for prem baby.

I’m just wondering what’s the best baby carrier for a prem baby, as I’m struggling. My daughter is 4 months old (5 weeks corrected) and I have tried two baby carriers and I just find she keeps slipping in them. She weighs 7lbs 8oz.

Scottish baby box wraps work well.

Key bit with stretchy wraps is to wrap it swimsuit tight on yourself before adding the xhild.

Do you have a sling library near you? Worth a Google (or if you mention your vague area then a MNetter might know) as then you could try quite a few and see if one is better than others. DD1 wasnt prem but she was 0.4th centile so very little. I mostly stuck to stretchy wraps (I liked my boba wrap) until she was more chunky and fit in the carrier better (we had ergobaby omni360).

My baby was born at that weight and fitted in an ergobaby embrace from birth. Very supportive for baby and comfortable for you.

That sounds really challenging with such a tiny baby 💛
For prem babies, softer wrap-style carriers usually work better as they keep them snug and stop slipping. It’s often more about the right fit than the brand.
I’ve seen some newborn-friendly options on Bubs Universe that might be worth a look. Hope you find something that works for you 🤍
