I’m not sure what to make of this

I’m back in touch with an old school
friend who I haven’t seen properly in decades. At school she would hang out with me sometimes unless a boy came along or she was trying to get in with the in crowd, neither of us were part of that. She met her husband in Year 10 he was in Year 12 and they married about ten years later and had two kids who are now grown up. She told me her husband was abusive and her Mum and kids took his side which caused her mental heath to be effected. She moved away met someone and remarried.a few years ago and it seemed she was really happy. She’s now left him as he was giving her a really hard time so I contacted her and she’s already met someone else and is very happy which is great but she’s also making out I’m her best friend but I have a feeling she says that to a lot of friends. Should I be wary?

If you wish to spend time with her then do so. It doesn't really matter if she is telling you that you're her 'best friend'; you don't have to reciprocate.

Not sure what her love life has got to do with anything.
