Am reading "What Mothers Do (especially when it looks like nothing)" by Naomi Stadlen. Has anyone else read this? It talks about what we do and how we feel, but in a very realistic way. It is based on lots of discussions with mothers and has chapters on comforting, how everything we do has to be interupptable, how much of a shock it all is and so on.
Ds is nearly 3 months and I feel utterly relieved to have found a book that leaves me feeling that I am doing things right rather than not quite well enough.

Has anyone else read this?

Ooh no, but I picked it up in Borders and iirc liked the look of it but was distracted by screaming babe and so had to go.

Just ordered it from Amazon. Read an article in the Grauniad and thought "I like the sound of that". Can't recommend it highly enough.
