Very very bad customer experience with Vestiare Collective after many years of being an active member

I have quite a good experience for a couple of years with VC, both as a seller and a buyer. But the day you'll have an issue, VC don't give you any right to defend yourself and if you ask for details, it's always "confidential". I had a recent situation with an item listed, for which the team of experts canceled the sale, and they issued a report that does not say that it is a fake item, but only because they considered that the size and composition label are not compliant, they cancel it. I asked for explanations and I wanted to know, for example, what size they thought the said dress would be, and they only answered that it was confidential. The sale was canceled without real arguments. FYI: Model, Material, Branding elements (label, logo, typography, etc.), Manufacturing finishes, Zipper/Stud/Button were all compliant. I just wanted the details of their report in order to understand the reasons (still didn't get them to tell me how they considered the size not-compliand, for example) Worse, they deactivated my account, "due to suspicious activity".Still I never ever had any complains about the authenticity of my items. I've been a good buyer and seller for years. I don't want to deal with VC anymore. So please be aware and careful when selling or buying via VC.

To be fair I think that’s pretty normal with higher-end resellers - people doing authenticity checks aren’t going to tell people how their item is a fake, or why it didn’t pass, because if it IS a fake you don’t want to give the seller ways to make the fake better next time 😂 I imagine it’s frustrating though. I’ve only been on the other end (my order cancelled due to failing authentication) and I was pleased it got flagged, but I had very little feedback either.

I am not a reseller though and it was the first time something like that happened to me. :( I would have liked transparency from them, when you pay such high commissions both as a seller and as a buyer, you expect to be treated fairly and transparently.
