She's been with my step-father 20 years. I think they may have had one short break on their own in that time (and it was spent going to see step-fathers friend). My sister has horrific OCD and is still at home with them. They never get anytime on their own at all.
My DSF booked a cruise for my mum's birthday, having checked with me and my sister it was ok (God bless that man).
I got a text from her and am in tears I'm so happy:
X has surpassed himself this time. Huge suite with dressing room, dining area, sitting room, enormous bed, amazing bathroom with huge bath, our own balcony, I'm blown away. Sipping a bucks fizz our butler just bought in!!!! Oh my lord. Going to a mowtown tribute thing tonight after a bbq. Am so happy. Wish you were here with us. Love you, MUM xxxx
I hope they do this every year from now on.
She looks after my children so much for us, is a childcarer while I work, has them overnight, totally respects everything i do as a mother, spoils them whilst still being firm with them. She looks after my very ill sister. My Stepfatehr is a saint and I adore him.
I'm just so bloody happy for them both
