He hates shopping (apart from pcworld) and will only have a couple of hours at most

I always ask dh for converse (I give him templates of kids' feet to carry with him). Also if I need any make-up I write the specific title down so he can show it to a shop assistant. There are some nice things on the Tiffany website.... and Hershey's kisses for dd2.

TheBlonde · 06/06/2008 19:11

thanks, suspect Tiffany won't make the list this time

clinique make-up (It's American and cheaper over there)

MinkyBorage · 06/06/2008 19:21

Jeaans, seven, citizens of humanity or whatever they all turned in to, James jeans, Work out so much cheaper

My DH goes to the U.S.A regularly on business. He only usually has the odd hour to go shopping (which he hates too), sometimes he might get a whole day.

I always ask for Clinique as it is American and much cheaper. He often gets nintendo DS games for our DDs, as these are half the price usually. If he stays for longer he may get them clothes or toys too.

He has got me alot of my favourite perfumes from duty free. I always have to write make-up or perfume details on a card so he can just give it to an assistant, or goodness knows what he would come back with!

He has bought me some jewellery from Tiffanys before too. When he went in December he picked up an i-pod and nintendo ds each for the DDs for Christmas.

alli weight loss pills - bloody fantastic!

An Apple Mac!! That's what my dh got for me last year (and I LOVE it beyond words)

Or Banana republic (if you're not in London)

All make up is cheaper. I worked with a woman once who spent 5000 dollars on Creme de la Mer in Bloomingdales

MinkyBorage · 06/06/2008 19:57

would it be cheaper to buy an ipod duty free or in the states then it would here? Sorry for hijack

mamablue · 06/06/2008 20:11

MinkyBorage it would definately be cheaper to an ipod either in dutyfree or in the states. For nintendos and the like you will need to buy a u.k charger here as they have us. plugs on them but still works out cheaper.

Brilliant! DH is getting me one for my birthday and is off to NY the week after! Hadn't even crossed my mind until this thread, thanks

mamablue · 06/06/2008 20:22

We just got back from a half term trip to New York. They have the biggest i-pod shop in the world there. It is huge, i-pods in every range and colours not available here. It is at the top of 5th Avenue by Central park (and next to FAO Schwartz- for the dcs)!! Hope you get what you want. Enjoy

TheBlonde · 06/06/2008 20:39

Thanks everyone
