Does every forum have its own 'Cod'?

I ask as being a veteran of ebay community boards, there was one lady there who was a kind of - dare I say - Cod equivalent? to my mind at least.

I mean she was ubiquitous and fantastic even if sometimes rather blunt...everyone knew her and it all would have fallen apart without her.

I am wondering if there are other fish on other forums?

Hope not to offend by asking, I like Coddy and of course there is only one of her, but if anyone here frequents other places, perhaps they might kwim and be able to elaborate.

i used to frequent another forum(not of the parenting variety)and there was a moderator on there who came accross as quite eccentric and everone arse-kissed him all the time and he thought he owned the place.

There's a lot of 'context' in this thread: Cod is a MN legend with her own style; Justine is a MN founder; both are elusive and interesting.

Some of the conversations between people who've been here a long time refer to other stuff and they move very quickly.

Bit of practice on active convos and catching up with some of the 'posting styles' of profilic MNers and then you'll 'get' what they're on about...

well hi confederate! cod is a prolific poster on MN who cant type and is not afraid to speak the truth as she sees it. justine is works for MN towers. There was a rumour that they were the same person but they AIN'T.
