I've just been sorting through files and papers ready to pack for our move in August. I thought it was all dh's trash but a fair few of them were mine. I found my old french language studies, my German language course, my books from a bilingual secretarial course, my papers from the optician company where I started training and a file full of info about OU, A Levels online etc.
HOWEVER, I am now at home with the dc supporting h's climb up the career ladder (he is being quite quick about it but still..)Brain cells are starting to go to sleep and I have to get something rolling soon or I'll go mad. I've started so many things, none of these things are actually finished and some aren't even started like the OU because it would cost me so much to do from Germany where we live. I used to speak such fluent French that the southerners could only suggest I was maybe a Parisienne. Have got out of practise now, my German sounds OK - I can do the accent but the grammar kills me. I'd love to study but the fact that I'm in Germany is a problem (no access courses for example for oldies like me - 40 this year - who've been out of it for so long)
Can any of you give me some career advice? I will try and get some help when we've moved towns but what direction would you send me in if you were sitting opposite me in the careers advice bureau today?
