Need advice on dealing with my friend's horrible husband...

...I'm due to visit a good friend at the weekend (we're staying over) but her husband is cold and avoidant on the phone. We used to get on well but one day he just changed. I used to make an effort and now frankly can't be bothered. I don't want to pretend to be all pally with him for her sake because I feel quite hurt, but at the same time don't want to make it into a bigger issue than it is.

What would you do?

How much tme would you have to spend with him?

binkleandflip · 05/06/2008 00:13

ignore him but be polite if spoken to.

Don't know, tea. Am secretly hoping he'll find something else to do which will occupy the whole weekend!

Wonder what's his problem - could you sort of ask your friend - or hint at things being different.

Yes, I probably should ask her, really. I've wanted to avoid having her feel like piggy in the middle, but I just feel so uncomfortable with him, and I ask myself why should I have to feel this way just because I want to see my friend? It's her I have the relationship with, not him, so I can't imagine that I've done anything to cause this behaviour.
