6 week old oven - top oven temp light indicated oven up to temperature 200 - but food nit cooking in expected time , tried again with riast potatoes , same thing . So buy oven thermometer - set top oven to 200 with thermometer in , temperature light goes out check temperature it says 155 ! Not 200
put thermometer in bottom fan oven set to 200 temp indicator light goes off check tbermoneter its at just over 200 so thats correct.

engineer - so you have probkem with the temperature if your top oven - do you know how it works .
me - yes i heated it up the temp light went off tbe foid not cooked in way linger time than normal had to rake it out & put in air fryer .
engineer- do you know you heed to heat it up its not a fan oven !
me- i know uts not a fan oven we move iften have used lots if different ovens , i like to use top smaller ovens as just 2 of us .
engineer ahhh your just not used to this oven !
me- ive had ranges , neff double oven , sneg all different .

me- i dont like tbat you seem to be victim blaming me . I cook a lot , i know how ovens work & this one is not up to temperature - ( he hasn't even looked at oven at this point )
what part if the oven being set to 200 and the oven thermometer i bought to check it says uts much lower.

me Yes i also know its not the temperature it says it is .
engineer we can't go by that i have to do certain timed checks etc with my equipment .
( the iven has been used twice once when ut didnt manage to cook chicken breast & once it didn't manage to roast par boiled potatoes .
engineer finally opens oven moves shelf rack down - & asks for my kitchen sponge and proceeds to wipe top of oven and acts like its a dirty oven and needs cleaning lol - there was nothing on the sponge when he handed it back .
i left him to it- surprise surprise - he sats there is nothing wrong with it ! I cant go by the oven thermometer i have bought !!
