I don't. I feel a bit like it's my geeky secret!

They know I spend time on a internet forum but have no idea which one - I reveal far too much on here

cornsilk · 28/05/2008 10:47

No - I like to be incognito.

twinsetandpearls · 28/05/2008 10:47

no. I dont want them here.

Buda · 28/05/2008 10:48

I have done - don't think anyone has looked at it much - one friend did when looking for help with her DS sleeping.

Carnival · 28/05/2008 10:48

I do, but they'll never be told my name.

areyouthereMNtismeMargaret · 28/05/2008 10:49

No it's my thing.

southeastastra · 28/05/2008 10:49

yes one knows i do and asks me if you're all loons

Psychomum5 · 28/05/2008 10:49

some I used to, but after a few faces, I have stopped........I think they reckon I am nuts and just talk to my 'imaginary friends'.....

flame was the one that I told and she came tho.......and she is here more than me!!!!

some I wish I hadn;t told I have to say.....altho I don;t think any of them are here, I do wonder if they come and spy at times......and I so wish to rant about people and now am too scared to

GrapefruitMoon · 28/05/2008 10:50

I don't - and often worry that if anyone who even vaguely knows me was a MNetter they would figure out who I am fairly easily....

I am often astounded at how much info people give out tbh...

woodenchair · 28/05/2008 10:50

same as carnival. I've told a couple of people about it, especially ones that I think would enjoy it. But never told anyone my name.

ArriettyClock · 28/05/2008 10:50

Yes, if I think they'll enjoy it, or get support from a particular area of the site.

RustyBear · 28/05/2008 10:54

None of my friends from outside work knows, but everyone at work knows I MN - if I ever tell a story in the staff room, someone always says 'Bet that was from MN' - it usually was!
They really enjoyed the knickers in the lunch bag story & I've printed out MB's thing about teachers' pay for the staff room noticeboard. One of them posts on here & I'm pretty sure a couple of others lurk.

MrsBoo · 28/05/2008 10:55

No it's my guilty secret

DragonsEye · 28/05/2008 10:58

yes, i would get lots of faces too psycho, internet forums dont have the 'coolest' of reputations!

stuffitllama · 28/05/2008 11:07

have told dh -- that's enough for me

Pinkjenny · 28/05/2008 11:08

Mine tease me because I start every sentence with, 'You know I go on Mumsnet, well ...'

Its very embarrassing now.

laura032004 · 28/05/2008 11:10

I have a v.close friend that I met through MN, so obviously she knows. I recommended MN to another couple of friends who come on occasionally. Obviously it's really easy to guess who I am. I don't give out much information that I wouldn't tell my friends anyway. I should do a namechange really, but I've been laura032004 for too long now!

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 28/05/2008 11:18

I'm the same as pinkjenny!

DragonsEye · 28/05/2008 11:19

When i first used MN (2003) i used my real name, first AND surname - DOH!
