Oversupply - how did you use your pumped milk

Hi All,

I have an oversupply and I’m at a loss of what to do with all my extra milk. I only pump when in work and away from DS and I pump for the minimum time I can but I still manage to pump more per session than he drinks. We use some for his baths and even then I have 4L stocked up in the month I’ve been back to work. I’ve also donated to the local milk bank but they are now at capacity of their freezer so that is also no longer an option. At some stage I feel like I will also run out of freezer space.

Any ideas of what else I can do with my milk would be greatly appreciated.

Keep some for weaning. Ice cube tray of frozen milk is great for cooking down porridge or cereals. I also used it to thin out fruit/veg purees and made ice pops with it for teething.

Theres a page on FB called something like human milk 4 human babies UK. It matches local mums who need a supply of breast milk (either one off or regular supply) with those who can donate. If your milk has been screened for the milk bank, then you could maybe consider something like this for a private arrangement? Appreciate not everyone is comfortable with that though so completely depends on how you feel about it. Just an idea.
