dd is going on fri and so far we`ve got pasta and sauce for hot food and cereal and cereal bars and energysweets.
I need a couple of things for daytime meals to pack and must be lightweight and small with no cooking required !

Tuna in a pouch with crackers, peanut butter for the other day (decant into a small tub). Trail mix, digestives sandwiched with nutella, pepperami sticks

Rather than pasta, if she takes rice noodles, they only need 3 minutes in boiling water before they are cooked, so are more efficient/

Thanks.
The rice noodles sounds great-shes allergic to nuts though.I didnt know you could get tuna in a pounch ?I could do that and get some sachets of mayo instead ?
Thanks again

crackerbread and primula cheese spread for lunches (primula comes in tubes)

that's what I ate on my DofE but it was nearly 20 years ago!

PandaG · 21/05/2008 21:26

yep me too Moomin - exactly what I was going to suggest!

I think you can even get tuna mayo in the pouch things - certainly in a tin, but the pouch cuts down on weight.

I used to quite like the Tartex yeast pate in a tube, but thats quite heavy for one days worth
