The children's playground is littered with beer cans and broken glass everywhere and some lovely person has broken the soft bit where the kids land after going down the firemans pole.

The area is walderslade, Kent.

TIA.

What a palava. Everyone says it is not their responsibilty and puts you through to someone else. By the 3rd person to say that I was fed up of repeating myself but all credit to her she has taken all the details and is going to find out who should sort it out.

Should be a sign on the playground gate with a contact number. Or a generic Actionline phone number for rubbish, streetlamps, potholes etc.

You can also pester the local councillor whos ward it is in - if you've a decent one they know the right people to chase.

Oh God, requests from Members - a complete nightmare. They expect you to drop everything to deal with their pet issue - it doesn't matter how busy you are with other stuff. And sometimes they make promises that things will be done that the Council just doesn't have the powers/resources to do - grrr.

To be fair to the Council staff, the call centre probably put you through to some random person who literally has nothing to do with the issue you're calling about. And they will all be so overworked in their own jobs they won't have time to chase around trying to deal with an unrelated problem. I would be the 3rd person though.
