Moving from South wales to Scotland - ADVICE

Hi,

I'm moving from SW to Scotland and I'm panicking if all my things will fit into one luton van. I've hired a removal company and they have said it may all fit "at a push" and we may need two luton vans. However paying an extra over £1000 for another van that won't even be half filled doesn't seem logical.

I was wondering if anyone has moved house (2 bedroom) using just one luton van before? We aren't taking the sofa or white goods. Our bed will be taken apart and most of the contents will be boxes. The only bigger items that we are unable to take apart are three sets of chest of drawers, and two 3 door sideboards. Our spare room is currently filled with already packed boxes and just looking at it stresses me😫

Any advice would be amazing!

Thanks in advance x

I had two Luton vans full myself, but that did include 2 beds and a sofa plus 2 arm chairs. All depends what you have I’m afraid plus how big is your car

Thank you for commenting!

I'm going to check with the removal company what size luton they plan to use. I'm hoping because we haven't got many bulky items they will be able to fit everything in one van. We have a relatively big car (ford puma) and we do plan on putting some boxes into the car also.

I'm dreading the move but also can't wait for it to be over with lol!
