My 3 year old has had a rash on her right hand and a patch on her right forearm for over 3 months. The G.P has prescribed Hydrocortisone cream (it did nothing). We were then prescribed Canesten anti-fungal cream (it did nothing). We were then referred to a dermatologist who diagnosed Granuloma annulare and gave us a stronger steroid cream (it did nothing) except lighten the skin pigmentation. I went back to my G.P who advised us to stop using the cream and go back to dermatology. I am now waiting for an appointment. It does not itch her and it has never been red, blistered or weeping. Its just dry. I'm confused and so is my G.P who doesn't agree with the dermatologist diagnosis. Help!
